An Energetic Round Up: Our Favorite Bites to Pair with Your New Favorite Beverage
Moooommm…what’s for snack?!? If it’s 3 o’clock somewhere, this question is inevitably being howled by at least one hangry child in your house, whether it’s post pool or post school, am I right?
Never fear, today’s #MiniMorsel is a recipe roundup of our favorite Energy Bites/Balls from a few of our favorite food bloggers and books.
First up, @PlantBasedJuniors does some amazing things with beans (chickpeas too!), from their signature Blueberry Chickpea Cookie Dough Balls to crowd favorite PBJ Balls made from, of all things, white beans - so they’re nut free (and seriously, our kids didn’t even think to ask as they gobbled these up)! our ingredients and one mixer to clean, if that’s not a #miniwin, what is?!?
For a non-date sweetened version (dates are in the prune family after all and among some of the smaller ones, can cause brief bathroom issues), we love @SuperHealthyKids Healthy Cookie Dough Bites (feel free to sub ½ cup unsweetened nut butter of your choice for the almonds and walnuts, adding to the oats after grinding into oat flour).
